Amanda L. Gordon is a Bay Area native, growing up in Palo Alto and attending Castilleja High School. She graduated from Wesleyan University with a B.A. in History. Amanda worked in Advertising for several years before she attended Santa Clara University School of Law where she graduated magna cum laude (top 5% of her class).    

After law school, Amanda worked as Deputy County Counsel for the County of Santa Clara in the Health & Hospital Section and for other established Family Law firms in San Francisco.

Amanda concentrates on all aspects of Divorce and Family law including spousal and child support, parentage and custody matters, drafting pre- and post-marital agreements, and serving as a consulting attorney for mediation.

Amanda has considerable court room appearances in Civil Court, Family Court, and Criminal Court. She also has experience with mandated reporting to CPS and the production of medical, mental health, financial, and housing records.  

Amanda is a Divorce Mediator - completing over 40 hours of divorce mediation training with both the Center for Conflict and Understanding and Northern California Mediation Center. Amanda has also completed Collaborative Practice training and is a member of the Collaborative Practice San Francisco Association

Amanda is committed to community impact work and volunteers with Glide Memorial Church, Domestic Violence Survivors, and the Justice Diversity Center. Amanda was awarded Outstanding Pro-Bono Volunteer for the SF Bar Association in 2015 and 2016. 

Amanda was Co-Chair of the Barrister's Family Law Section of the San Francisco Bar Association from 2015-2018. 

Amanda is currently on the Board of Collaborative Practice San Francisco. 

On the weekends, you can find Amanda hiking with her poorly behaved Labradoodle, Griffin.
